There’s no doubting that seeing the words Facebook Ads account disabled makes your heart sink instantly. Most of the time when people see this error they have done absolutely nothing wrong – so why does Facebook ban them?
It’s an anomaly. Regardless of their reasoning, and provided you haven’t broken any rules, there are a handful of ways to go about getting your Facebook Ads account unbanned. In this article, we’re going to cover the method that we use when this happens to our clients.
Quick Disclaimer
Before we get into the method we use, it’s important to highlight something. If you actually broke the rules (e.g. if you were scamming people) then this method won’t help you. In fact, no methods will help you. You’ll have a really hard time unbanning your account because Facebook has a zero-tolerance policy when it comes to scamming and the likes of.
How to Fix "Facebook Ads Account Disabled"
Now that we’ve got that out of the way, let’s look at how you can swiftly resolve Facebook Ads account disabled.
The first thing you have to do is head to the Facebook Business Help Centre, which should look something like this. Click on the Chat button to begin.
You’ll then be taken to a form that needs to be filled out. The main piece of info you’re required to provide is your Ad Account ID and if you don’t know how to retrieve that, click How to find your Ad Account ID below the box.
In the What is your question about? box, explain your situation. Explain that your account was disabled for seemingly no reason and because of that. Explain that you’ve had to halt your marketing efforts and your marketing team are falling behind. Don’t make it seem like this is a minor inconvenience because it isn’t. This is a huge bottleneck that’s holding you back and if you haven’t broken any rules then it’s through no fault of your own.
After you submit the ticket you’ll see something like what we’ve posted below. The support agent will look at your account and tell you the exact reason for Facebook Ads account disabled.
The Secret to Get Your Facebook Ads Account Unbanned
So, you’ve submitted the ticket, now what? What we’ve found to be the most effective, surprisingly, is to send a voice message. Why does this work? We’re not sure – perhaps it’s because it makes Facebook view us as a more legit page, but we can’t say for certain. What we do know is that it seems to make them prioritize helping us.
In the voice message do the same thing as before. Explain your situation, explain that you haven’t broken any rules, and ask them to take another look at the account. Again, put some urgency into the message.
Unfortunately, you won’t have Facebook Ads account disabled fixed within the hour. In most cases, it’ll take a day or two, but you’ll eventually see this message.
What if Facebook Ads Account Disabled Happens Again?
The great thing about getting banned for a second time, again for seemingly no reason, is that you can usually get unbanned really quickly.
It’ll usually be for the same reason and you can reference the first ticket to say, “Hey, this happened to my account before as you can see in this ticket, can I please get unbanned?”. There typically won’t be any roadblocks at this point.
